2023-01-09: Drafted up a quick Mimi sprite and threw it into a simple shmup prototype. Adding the ability to shoot back added a lot to the game feel, even without functional collision. This was the point where the project felt viable.
2023-01-16: In the original game, these bullets were glowy psychic projection hands. But what if ... they were dog paws?
2023-01-31: Another joke popped up in my head, and the theme was cemented. Wan wan!
You can also see the homing feather shot here. This implementation seemed good enough, despite looking a bit goofy, and never got updated.
