A vtuber bullet hell fangame featuring Henemimi and Mint Castella, built using PICO-8.
Written on-and-off during 2023.

Modes:
- Normal: The standard game mode (like LoLK's Pointdevice), aim for perfection!
- Strong: Endure stronger patterns reflecting arcade-day experiences.
- Help: A quieter, more peaceful space to learn the controls.
Controls:
- Button O (Z): Shoot - Tap for unfocused shot. Hold for focused shot and slow movement.
- Button X (X): Spell Card (smart bomb) - Powerful attack that grants temporary invulnerability, like any good shmup.
- Menu Button (Enter) - Pause menu, PICO-8 standard. Option "Reset Cart" will return to the title screen.
NOTE: This game is written for use with a keyboard or dedicated controller. The PICO-8 mobile browser embed has virtual controls which ... are not ideal for this style of game. Sorry!

Where is my Focus button?
Touhou games traditionally have three buttons (Shot, Bomb, and Focus), but PICO-8 only allows for two action buttons. To compromise, I used the Cave setup of controlling speed through the Shot button*: tap the button for the "fast shot", or hold button for the "slow shot".
Some patterns will demand the player to move fast. If the tapping Shot button is too awkward, not-shooting is still an option for faster movement.
* Cave games usually feature an autofire button that serves as an alternative to tapping, but again, two button limit.
Deathbomb mechanic? Wha...?
When hit, the player has a brief period to recover by using a bomb, negating the hit. This is a common feature in Touhou games, and Mimi is a Touhou, so this feature was a hard requirement. In this game, the deathbomb window is 30 frames with a full bomb charge (50%), or 8 frames with a partial bomb charge (25%).
Normal mode grants 25% bomb charge after every boss phase.
Strong mode grants 50% bomb charge after every player hit.
